UN Mappers
a community of mapping enthusiasts collaborating to collect, validate, and disseminate geospatial open data in areas where the United Nations caries out field operations with the goal of supporting the decision-making process with more accurate location-based data.
UN Maps
an initiative aimed at enriching topographic and operational data in UN Missions and providing peacekeeping and humanitarian actors with better topographic maps, operational geoinformation, search and navigation tools, and imagery and street-level base maps.
Smart Maps
application of modern web map technologies for informed-decision.
UN Smart Maps Group
a volunteer group of engineers, educators, and students, among others, that works as a community of practice. The 7th domain working group under the UN Open GIS Initiative. Its vision is to keep web maps open for a better world. Its mission is to test new technologies for future geospatial operations.
